Colts

St. Brendan’s Phoenix Park also caters for young boys and girls who already have an interest in hockey or who would like to take up a new sport.

Colts hockey is for young people between the ages of 7 and 15 years. At 15, players can then progress into senior hockey and play in the Leinster league.

Coaching takes place for both boys and girls every Sunday on the astro turf pitch in Laurel Lodge (behind St. Thomas’ Church) from 1pm - 2pm. Cost is €60 for the season (September - April) and insurance is included.

Experienced coaches are on hand every week to supervise and demonstrate drills. Coaches at St. Brendan’s Phoenix Park aim to give young boys and girls the opportunity to take part in hockey in a safe environment which is fun and enjoyable.

Hockey sticks & balls will be provided by us should you need them but we request that each child MUST wear suitable clothing and also wear shinguards and a gumshield.
